After you sign up with Ostrom
After you sign up, we automatically receive all essential meter data directly from your grid operator. If you only have an analog or digital meter lacking a BSI-certified Smart Meter Gateway (Federal Office for Information Security), and you do not yet possess a Smart Meter, we will switch to the SimplyFair tariff. Afterwards, you will receive an email containing a tariff change confirmation to keep you informed of all relevant updates.
What else is necessary for the SimplyDynamic tariff besides having a BSI-certified Smart Meter Gateway installed on my meter?
For our SimplyDynamic tariff, we require precise records of your energy consumption, referred to as load profiles (Lastgänge). These data sets are only accessible through an RLM (Registrierende Leistungsmessung) meter profile. If your current meter lacks this specific profile and is currently configured with an SLP (Standard Load Profile), we will request a profile adjustment with the grid operator. Please note that this profile adjustment may result in a temporary delay until the desired RLM profile is fully activated. Throughout this interim period, you will be billed according to our SimplyFair tariff, and the profile adjustment will be executed within the stipulated deadlines set by the grid operator.
