Thanks to our partnership with E3/DC, your battery can automatically charge during the cheapest hours – using Ostrom’s SimplyDynamic tariff and the Dynamic Pricing feature available in the E3/DC intranet.
🔌 What you need
To use Dynamic Pricing with your E3/DC system, you’ll need:
An E3/DC Hauskraftwerk (battery) with access to the E3/DC intranet
A smart meter with a BSI-certified smart meter gateway
Ostrom’s SimplyDynamic tariff

As an E3/DC customer, you’re eligible for a free smart meter when signing up for the SimplyFair tariff.

Already an Ostrom customer?
Send us your contract ID, and we’ll add the referral code to your account.
📅 What happens next?
1. We forward your smart meter order to the grid operator
First, we’ll check if we already cooperate with your grid operator: Check the map of our partner grids
✅ If we do:
We’ll send your order directly to the grid operator. They’ll contact you to schedule the installation.
⏳ If we don’t (yet):
We are actively working on expanding our partnerships. To avoid any waiting time, however, we recommend that you contact your grid operator directly.
2. Installation & switching to SimplyDynamic
The smart meter installation and tariff switch usually take at least 16 weeks.
3. Connect Ostrom in the E3/DC intranet after switching your tariff and charge your battery system at a lower cost
After your new smart meter has been installed, your grid operator will send us a notification about the meter change. As soon as we receive your consumption data, you can switch to the SimplyDynamic tariff.
You can then link Ostrom in the E3/DC intranet – your battery system will now automatically charge at the cheapest times.
💡 Good to know:
E3/DC devices aren’t yet compatible with the Ostrom app, so you won’t be able to control your battery directly through it.
SimplyDynamic is fully integrated with E3/DC.
