What should I do if I’m moving into a new property where the electricity contract is still under someone else’s name?

When you move into a new apartment or house, it’s possible that the registration is still under the previous tenant’s name, or that their electricity contract has not yet been cancelled.

In this case, we’ll need a document called a handover protocol to complete the registration and deregister the previous tenant.

The handover protocol includes important details about your move-in, such as the meter number, address, your name, and the meter readings on your move-in date.
