About NeoGrid Credits

You are earning NeoGrid Credits while participating in our virtual power plant. We’re rewarding your energy usage in especially cheap and grid supportive hours.

Your charging consumption and the current grid situation will define the amount of NeoGrid Credits you are earning. NeoGrid Credits will be transferred every morning after your participation.

NeoGrid Credits Requirements

1. NeoGrid Time Window

Your car needs to be connected between 10pm and 5am to earn your NeoGrid Credits.

2. Flexibility To Shift Charging

To generate profit, we need to optimize and shift your daily charging capacity to lower-cost hours. This requires a minimum of 25% flexibility to ensure participation in our NeoGrid.

Flexibility of at least 25% means that within the NeoGrid time window, at least 25% more charging can hypothetically be done than what is required to reach the target state of charge.

More Infos

Example Calculation:

Current Battery Level: 40%

Battery Target Level: 90%

Battery Capacity: 70 kWh

Charge Rate: 11 kW

  1. To reach your target state of charge, (90% - 40%) * 70 kWh = 35 kWh needs to be charged.

  2. With a charge rate of 11 kW and a NeoGrid time window of 7 hours (10:00 PM to 5:00 AM), 11 kW * 7h = 77 kWh can be charged within the NeoGrid time window.

  3. The difference between the maximum and the target charging volume represents the available flexible load—in this case, 77 kWh - 35 kWh = 42 kWh. Expressed as a percentage of the maximum possible charging volume, this amounts to (42 kWh / 77 kWh) = 54%, which is therefore above the minimum threshold of 25%.

Important: To calculate flexibility correctly, the charge rate or your car is crucial.

If the flexibility exceeds 100%, it means that more energy needs to be charged to reach the target state of charge than is possible within the NeoGrid time window. The flexibility condition will then not be met.

3. Remote control must be possible

Please deactivate all charging schedules from other third party or vendor apps. Full remote control and remote access must be provided to participate in our NeoGrid. Please also check the settings of your EV charger. Sometimes Charger settings can also interfere with remote steering.
