SimplyFair24 - Everything you need to know

Written by Laura

πŸ’‘ What Is the SimplyFair24 Plan?

SimplyFair24 is a variant of our classic SimplyFair plan – built on the same foundation:

βœ… 100 % renewable energy, transparent pricing, and fair contract terms.

The key difference: you get a complete price guarantee for 24 months – across all price components.

Perfect if you want maximum planning security over a longer period.

πŸ’° How Is the Price Made Up?

1. Base Fee

  • 8 EUR Ostrom base fee per month

  • plus the fixed grid fees of your local grid operator

2. Unit Price (ct/kWh)

  • Transparent electricity price – may differ from SimplyFair, reviewed monthly against new offers

  • 24-Month Full Price Guarantee: All price components are locked in for the entire period – including all taxes and levies (e.g. VAT, electricity tax, EEG, KiWKG, StromNEV, offshore levy, concession fee, grid fees, and unit rate)

🧾 How Does Billing Work?

Monthly Deposit Payments
You pay a monthly advance based on your estimated annual consumption.

Annual Settlement
Once a year, we compare your actual consumption with your advance payments:

  • Lower consumption β†’ you get a refund

  • Higher consumption β†’ an additional payment is due

The billing mechanism works the same as SimplyFair – with the added benefit of a fully guaranteed price for 24 months.

πŸ”’ How Is the Monthly Deposit Payment Calculated?

Your monthly deposit is based on:

  1. Your estimated yearly consumption

  2. The SimplyFair24 unit price (with 24-month guarantee)

  3. The monthly base fee (8 EUR + grid fee)

Formula: (Estimated yearly consumption Γ— unit price) + (12 Γ— base fee) Γ· 12

You can adjust your monthly deposit payment at any time in the app if your consumption changes.
