Jan 1: You sign up to Ostrom
Jan 1: We contact the grid or your previous provider
Jan 1-14: Sometimes your old provider responds on the same day, but can take them up to 14 days to reply. Once they reply, your switch will be confirmed.
Start Date
Depends on your previous minimum contract period, but you will be automatically switched to Ostrom once that contract is over.
Ostrom starts the process as soon as you sign up, but when you can officially start depends on your previous provider's minimum contract period, the Mindestvertragslaufzeit, which is usually 12-24 months (side note: with us, you can cancel anytime!).
