I'm moving into a new place and want to take my contract with me - how can I do that?

We’re so happy you’re taking Ostrom with you! πŸ’š
You can easily take your contract with you directly in the app. Please note that grid operators charge different network fees, which means your price may change slightly ⚑️.

πŸ”„ Move your contract in the app

Here’s how it works:

  1. Open the Ostrom app

  2. Go to More β†’ Contract β†’ Moving With Ostrom

  3. Follow the steps in the flow

πŸ“‹ Please have the following information ready:

  • New address 🏠

  • Move-in date πŸ“…

  • New meter number πŸ”’

  • Estimated annual electricity consumption βš™οΈ

πŸ‘‰ If you’re not sure about your new consumption, just use the value from your old contract β€” you can always adjust your monthly payment later.

Once your new contract has been successfully registered (this may take a few days ⏳), it will appear in the app. You can switch between your contracts at any time by tapping the address at the top of the screen.

πŸ’‘ Tip: You can have both contracts active at the same time β€” for example, if you move into your new home on October 1st but don’t move out of the old one until November 1st.

⚠️ Exception: Dynamic tariff

If you are currently on a dynamic tariff, the move cannot be done via this flow.

In this case:

  1. Cancel your current contract

β†’ More β†’ Contract β†’ Cancel Contract (reason: moving out)

  2. Create a new contract

    β†’ More β†’ Contract β†’ Add Another Contract β†’ β€œMove-in”

⚠️ Important: Deadlines to keep in mind

As of June 6, 2025, move-ins and cancellations can only be scheduled up to 2 days in advance.
It’s no longer possible to register a move retroactively.

➑️ Plan your move early to make sure everything goes smoothly.
