More often than not, traditional providers will charge you fees as an additional part of the price per killowatt-hour, i.e. the more you use, the more they earn. We don't do that. We don't want to make money on your consumption—if anything, we want to reduce it!

To decouple our revenue from your electricity consumption, we have a set flat 6€ monthly fee that just covers our expenses.

​How is Ostrom's electricity priced?

We plan our prices for the medium to long term and monitor developments on the electricity market very closely. As we offer Energy-at-cost, we do not provide a price guarantee. In order to cushion extreme peaks, we calculate an average price that corresponds to the current price level.

If there is a price adjustment, it will be announced four weeks in advance, so that the price is always valid for at least one month period. You can find more information about our recent price adjustments in our FAQ here.
