📊 How is your monthly advance payment calculated?
Our pricing model determines the amount of your monthly advance payment based on the following components:
🔌 Estimated annual consumption
This indicates how much electricity you are expected to use per year, measured in kilowatt hours (kWh).
⚡ Energy price
The energy price is calculated in cents per kilowatt hour. With Ostrom, your electricity comes from 100% renewable energy!
🔧 Grid fees
These fees are charged by your local grid operator to transport electricity from the power plant to your home.
📌 Example calculation
Energy price: 30 ct/kWh
Annual consumption: 1200 kWh
Base fee incl. grid fees: 10 €
Calculation:
1,200 kWh ÷ 12 months = 100 kWh per month
100 kWh × 30 ct/kWh = 30 €
30 € + 10 € base fee incl. grid fees = 40 €
👉 Monthly deposit payment: 40 € (example)
