The smart meter usually also functions as a bidirectional meter. This means it records both consumption and feed-in. Typically, it has two separate registers: one for your consumption and another for your feed-in.

Feed-in is recorded in a separate register with the number 2.8.0. The meter readings of the different registers are displayed in alternating sequence on most digital meters.

💡 Please carefully inspect the display of your meter and wait a moment until the reading switches to the corresponding register. The register number is usually located to the left of the meter reading, occasionally also at the top or bottom in a corner.
