If you don’t see the “Add meter reading” option in the Ostrom app, there could be a few reasons:
⏳ Your contract hasn’t started yet
Meter readings can only be submitted once your electricity supply has officially started. If your start date is still in the future, the feature will be temporarily unavailable.
📅 Tip: Just check back in the app once your supply starts – you’ll then be able to enter your meter reading.
📡 You have a smart meter
If you’re using a smart meter and we receive your hourly consumption data (load profile) from your metering point operator, your app view changes accordingly. That means:
You’ll see your hourly consumption directly in the app.
Manual meter readings are no longer needed.
We also receive a monthly meter reading directly from your metering point operator, so there's no need for you to read the meter yourself.
