This savings is further enhanced by intraday trading facilitated by the pooling of units, making it even more cost-effective than optimization based on previous day prices (day-ahead).

Additionally, we will install a smart meter for free (instead of 349,90€) for all pilot customers who do not already have one.

Furthermore, by participating in the Virtual Power Plant, you contribute to the stability of the grid in Germany and thus to the energy transition in general. This is because high or low prices in the electricity markets correlate with situations where too little or too much electricity is being fed into the grid. For example, if the wind is particularly strong at night when Germany consumes little electricity, electricity can be extremely cheap due to oversupply, which simultaneously endangers grid stability. By starting the charging process of many vehicles exactly at this time through the Virtual Power Plant, we reduce the surplus of electricity and relieve the grid. This kind of demand flexibility becomes increasingly important with the increase in volatile renewable energies to balance the grid.
