Let’s go through a few quick steps together to figure out what might be causing it.
🧩 Step 1: Check your fuse box
Please start by checking your fuse box - are all fuses switched on and properly plugged in?
Sometimes the issue is right there and can be fixed in just a few seconds.
🏠 Step 2: Contact your landlord
If everything looks fine with your fuse box but there’s still no electricity, please get in touch with your landlord.
They can check whether the issue affects the entire building or if an electrician is needed.
⚙️ Step 3: Contact your local grid operator
Your grid operator is responsible for power interruptions and outages in your area.
Only the grid operator can fix a local outage or reconnect your power supply.

Best to call them - usually you'll find their phone number under "Störungshotline" "Stromausfall" or similar.
🪫 Good to know
Ostrom is your electricity supplier, but we don’t have the ability to disconnect or reconnect your power - only your grid operator can do that.
If your Ostrom contract hasn’t started yet, you should normally still have electricity through your default supplier (Grundversorgung) or previous provider until your registration is confirmed or your start of supply.
