The Ostrom Price Cap is an optional price protection feature.
It ensures that your electricity work price never exceeds 40 ct/kWh β€” even if market prices rise.

2. Which tariff is eligible for the Price Cap? 🧾

The Price Cap is available only in the SimplyFair tariff.
It cannot be added to the Dynamic Tariff.

3. Why is the Price Cap not available in the Dynamic Tariff? ⚑

In the Dynamic Tariff, the hourly market prices are passed through directly.
Because these prices fluctuate every hour, a fixed price cap cannot be guaranteed.

4. How does the Price Cap work? πŸ”’

  • Your work price is capped at 40 ct/kWh.

  • If the regular market price rises above this level, you continue to pay no more than the capped rate.

  • Your basic fee stays unchanged.

The Price Cap costs a one-time fee of €49.90.
The duration is 12 months.

6. How long is the Price Cap valid? πŸ—“οΈ

The Price Cap is valid for 12 months from the date of activation.

7. Does the Price Cap renew automatically? πŸ”

Yes.
If you don’t cancel it, the Price Cap automatically renews for another 12 months.

8. When do I need to cancel if I don’t want it to renew? ⏳

You must cancel at least one month before the end of the 12-month period.
Otherwise, the Price Cap will automatically renew.

9. How can I cancel the Price Cap? πŸ“©

You can cancel via the Ostrom Support team β€” through the app, email, or your customer account.
Your contract remains active; only the Price Cap option is cancelled.

10. Does the Price Cap change my underlying tariff? πŸ”„

No.
You stay on the SimplyFair tariff with full flexibility and monthly cancellation options.
The Price Cap is a separate optional add-on.
