If your contract was cancelled and you didn't request the cancellation yourself, there are mostly two reasons.
Another provider cancelled your contract on your behalf. This happens if you sign up with a different provider and ask them to cancel any current contract.

Doorstep scams pretending to take a “meter reading” but actually switching your provider.
Fake phone numbers online claiming to be Ostrom support. We currently do not offer phone support, and calling these numbers may lead to an unwanted contract cancellation.
If you ever feel unsure about the authenticity of a visit or message, please contact us through the Ostrom App to verify it. If you encounter an unauthorized cancellation, you can revoke this fake request within 14 days.
We cancelled your contract automatically due to missing payments. Please check your e-mail regarding payment reminders or dunning information and your app's payment history. If there is no reaction to the reminders and the dunning process, your contract gets cancelled automatically.
